Conference on the Algerian Revolution

The Embassy of Algeria in Dhaka organised a conference entitled “The Algerian Revolution of 1954: Its Impact on International Relations and World Politics” at Le Méridien Dhaka on the eve of the 72nd Anniversary of the Glorious Algerian Revolution to examine its historical significance, bringing together diplomats, academics and distinguished guests. The enlightening discussions highlighted the Revolution’s far-reaching impact on global decolonisation, liberation movements, international diplomacy and the right to self-determination. The event also reflected the enduring relevance of Algeria’s liberation legacy and its historical resonance with Bangladesh’s own struggle for independence.
